The 30th annual Canadian ASL Open will take place in the suburbs of Montréal, Québec from May 1 – 3, 2026. The Open consists of five rounds spread over Friday, Saturday and Sunday.
The CASLO’s Inception and Evolution
Born from the mind and unyielding passion of the late Jim “The Hammer” McLeod, CASLO first made its mark in the ASL world in 1997. What started as a small gathering of ASL enthusiasts has, over the years, blossomed into Canada’s most prestigious and eagerly anticipated ASL event. Each year, it not only gathers players from across the nation, but also the USA and sometimes other parts of the world, offering a unique blend of intense competition and warm camaraderie.

Jim McLeod’s vision was simple yet profound – to unite Canadian ASL players, fostering a spirit of sportsmanship and enhancing their skills and knowledge of the game. This vision remains the guiding star of CASLO.

EVENT SCHEDULE
FRIDAY:
0830: Doors open.
0900: Opening Ceremony and pairings for the Open round one.
0930 to 1530: Round 1.
1130 to 1630: Late starters round.
1730 to 2330: Round 2.
SATURDAY:
0900 to 1500: Round 3.
1700 to 2300: Round 4.
SUNDAY:
0900 to 1500: Round 5.
1530: Awards Ceremony
1600: End of the event.
The list of scenarios will be available in March of 2026. Pre-registered players will have access to scanned scenario copies before the tournament.
