The 27th annual Canadian ASL Open will take place in Fredericton, NB from 19 to 21 May, 2023. The Open consists of five rounds spread over Friday, Saturday and Sunday.
EVENT SCHEDULE
FRIDAY: 1000: Doors open. 1200: Opening Ceremony and pairings for the Open round one. 1230 to 1800: Round one of the Open. 1900 to 0030: Round two of the Open. SATURDAY: 0900 to 1500: Round three of the Open; mini-tournament first round. ASL SK Open Play 1700 to 2330: Round four of the Open; mini-tournament second round. SUNDAY: 0900 to 1530: Final round of the Open; mini-tournament final round. 1600: Awards Ceremony 1630: End of the event.
The list of scenarios is available here. Pre-registered players will have access to scanned scenario copies before the tournament, supplied by the Tournament Director David Garvin.
ASL Starter Kit play will be featured on Saturday during the day.
We will award plaques for the top three players in the Open. We will give a framed award certificate for the winner of the VP mini, the best Sniper, most two’s, etc. We might have additional prizes from sponsors.
CASLO XXVII will be held at the Fredericton Inn, Fredericton, NB, Canada. There is plentiful free parking, there is a pool and plenty of amenities nearby. The Regent Street Mall is immediately next door and there is a hotel bar and restaurant. Fredericton is about an hour past the border crossing at Houlton Maine (the end of I-95) and is about 10 minutes from the Fredericton Airport (YFC), with daily flights from Montreal (YUL), Ottawa (YOW) and Toronto (YYZ and YTZ).
